Final; Practicing Press Release for 春日英語教室
Driving a small Daihatsu car, Ms. Kasuga is heading for her student's place. She has been visiting them for 8 years. A big sister and little sister are waiting for her.
"One day, another my student's mom asked me if I could help her friend's daughters' English." As I wanted to expand my business, I said, "With pleasure." Luckily, their house was in my neighbourhood. So I started teaching them. The girls were 10 and 8 years old. We played games, sang songs or whatever. It was lovely time. My friend, who lived in Canada, helped their English through Skype as well. Ms. Kasuga, whose English has Japanese accents, has nothing problems with making people understood. However, she wanted her students to practice communication with a native English speaker. On every Thursday, Mr. Nishimura in Alberta, Canada, joined them and enjoyed talking.
However, time flies so quickly. The elder sister turned 18 years old and the younger one is 16 years old. They must focus on several exams. "That's an extremely shame. There must be more important to learn than exams." Ms. Kasuga feels disappointed at Japanese school systems. "When it comes to English, junior and senior high schools too much focus on exam English , which is neither practical nor genuine. " Ms. Kasuga, who had tried to change the systems, but failed. She almost gave up doing it.
"I changed in my mind focusing on a different way instead of complaining of Japanese school systems, which may well better for me." She started reviewing her English, especially writing. She has some friends through Skype, one of whom lives in the US. Fortunately she got a chance to visit it during spring holidays. For only 5 days, however, she joined a free writing session. It made her to decide to write essays through their online course.
"If I hadn't been associated with teaching for such a long time, I wouldn't have any chances. I appreciate my friends, students, their parents and my family." 春日英語教室, which is going to turn 11 years old in May, 2017. Nobody knows when 春日英語教室 will end, but time flies so quickly.
