the Season of Reading

I've finished reading a book, the Moon and the Sixpence, which is really really interesting. However, I do not feel like talking with anybody right now. It is just because I was so inspired by the story or the character called Charles Strickland. From the point of view of me (a woman), he is a monster or not like a human, but he could be really human, because he or his talent was struggle with such a greasy capitalistic society and then, resulted in living in Tahiti, which people have free of mind and are more open minded. Probably it would be more suitable for him. Anyway, I will think about who he is or what the capitalistic society is or etc.... and will be back to this topic next time.

Golden Week Holidays!

Image
In Japan, we have Golden Week Holidays every year around this time. Talking about Holidays, I always remember this song Holiday. When I was a high school student, I heard the song from other student's walkman in the lift. It was the right time to hear the song around the time in Golden Week Holidays. "Why am I here (the study room), just sitting at the desk?" Soon, I popped out to the big park in my neighbourhood, where there was a big rock concert. I still remember that. So what am I going to do for GW this year? By the way, Madonna is so cute in this film, isn't she? And the, the fashion, it is 80s one, but now it is popular. Still ...

Just relax my mind,,,

Today is, not like yesterday or the day after yesterday, I do not feel like writing. What I am is different from what I was. My mind is empty. In that case, Just relax my mind... until I get back my energy.

When she was clearing things up in the desk, she found a cassette tape which she used to listen to. The title of the song is "Please Mr. Postman" by Carpenters. She just listened just because she liked its rhythms. However, she found it was really a pretty song. The song .... expressing a girl's emotion which she had been waiting for a letter or a card from her boy friend far away. "It reminds me of my memory... It was 20 years ago... I was waiting for letters from my boy friend overseas .. And I put the number(s) in each letter which I would sent to him. And then, he did the same. The total numbers of letters for us were over 100. Now this is a good memory for ...

Image
It is the 5 th day after I started piano lessons. I play monotonous sound without any rhythm s. But it was my choice to play such boring tunes for the foundation. The tune is titled "Let's Begin" in the textbook. It suggests "Play this with pleasure or amusement". I tried to express pleasure or amusement, but it did not sound like that. Maybe I really do not understand what Pleasure or Amusement is. According to the dictionary, "The state or feeling of being pleased or gratified. A source of enjoyment or delight:" う~ん、最近、こういう想いをしていないからかな? Hum.... I am wondering if I have such feelings or not for these days... It should be t...

Afternoon Tea

Jasmin with Gingers ショウガ入りジャスミン茶 Pineapple Flavoured Tea パイナップル風味のお茶 Green Tea 緑茶 Coffee コーヒー Camomile Tea カモミール茶 a Glass of Water 水 this was all I drank for Afternoon Tea in Royal Host (Roy-Ho) today. The system is called "Drink Bar" there. If you order "Drink Bar", you can get whichever you want without any limitation. In that case, I get too much more drinks than I usually have. It seems stingy but I do not care about it, because nothing is better than you can get many your favourite drinks for reasonable prices. Go go go to Roy-Ho, HO, HO, HO!

Nothing Important..

I just remember one thing but it is not so important of my life. However, I would like to share this thing with you. Just listen to the song carefully, especially the last part... You may hear a Japanese word, "Gomen nasai". It has no make sense to say "Gomen nasai" here. But you can hear the word, don't you! I have told this to some of my friends though... But I would like to share this with YOU! Anyway... this is not so important ... now important thins is to fix this country, Japan, isn't it!

。。 Just like "Bocchan"...

Have you ever read "Bocchan" before? Talking of Soseki Natsume, it is "Kokoro" for me though. When I was 17, I read it in a Japanese textbook. But it wasn't described till end. I was wondering what the conclusion was. So I read the paperback before the night when I would take a test. However, I still remember how I was shocked at the conclusion. Talking of Natsume Soseki, he went to London to study and got heavy homesick. It was just like me 10 years ago. We, Soseki (Bocchan) and I have several common things. Studying in London, working at school and quitting it. Also we were from big cities such as Tokyo and Nagoya. I might ...

Think of Working... 。。

What if you suddenly lost your profession? If you were a doctor, teacher or whatever, what would you do? Unless you have any skill except for your profession, could you be an assembly worker? Could you be a cleaner? Or would you commit suicide just because you had lost your profession? "No, no, no.... that's is silly!!" Think of this seriously, there are many opportunities to get to know different worlds. Just be humble and patient till you would find the timing you would back to your profession. And then, gradually you could become proud of yourself because you were so modest. Actually I've facing this kind of situation at the moment... and say to myself this every day!! ...

think of LOVE... 。。

A story is like this... There used to be lovers who seemed to have quite good relationships. For the man, he looked quite grown up, because he was much older than the woman who was around 30ish. But actually they were not, because the love from a guy was fake... The guy said to her quietly, "You're thinking that you just need LOVE." I have NO love," and continued, "because I am broken." You're sooooo MAD & CRAZY!" as soon as she replied to him like this and rushed away as quickly as she could.「あたりまえでしょ! She realised that he had NO love towards her. Even though they had such close or deep relationship, he had no love or didn't know about love. As if he had enjoyed just relationships, it was like a ...

journalists and fiction writers

I am thinking what different from journalism and writing fiction are. Journalism is written by realities. Writing fiction is written by imagination. The former is not necessary with emotion or feelings, just write the facts. But it might be included tragedies. Nevertheless, you have to stay quiet. On the other hand, the latter is necessary with emotion or feelings, sometimes it might have passion. Now if I had an opportunity to choose which way, I would choose writing fiction, because I could share sadness or happiness with others with love. It means that I am honest which I cry, shout, express myself from the bottom of my heart. That is - I am a really human.

I've been so excited to meet new people in this week. On Tuesday, I met a new friend from Brazil, who is much younger than me, but she is so independent. I could learn many things from her. We talked about books which we have read, life, jobs, dreams.... so many things. And today, I met a Spanish journalist who came to Japan to write articles about the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power plants. Actually I worked for him as a translator. We had some interview with the people in Toyota. As it was first time for me to work with a journalist, it was so exciting. We asked people without any arrangement, but they answered us friendly. However, I did not expect that I got to know these two people. One day suddenly things happened to me....
