a House Survived Prevented Disposal Risk

The site of the Konoe's house in Kyoto Imperial Garden
The Konoe's house was transferred to Nishio in Aichi.
With Meiji Emperor's moving out to Tokyo for the reason why the capital was transferred to Tokyo, most noble families followed him having kept their houses empty. Just imagine, around that time, Kyoto, it lost population, such houses were dilapidated like ghost ones. Confusion, disorder, mess, whatever, unbelievable in Kyoto.

Just unbelievable.

The Konoe's house, however, luckily it was saved by Nishio, of which macha output is the second following Uji. Other houses were dismantled and Kyoto Imperial Place was remodelled to Kyoto Imperial Garden.
