the reason why we never fight...

One of my friends visited me last week.
We hadn't seen each other quite a long.

He asked me the current situation of Japan, such as demonstration.
I explained to him what was happening here.

Most of my friends, however, told that Japan should have military forces just in case.
Or even, another friend said without any doubts,

"Let's fight together against enemies."

Yes, I understand what they mean.

But Japan is not the country as any other countries, because we have the article 9th in our constitution. This is very special, because we cannot repeat the same mistakes or tragedies, such as Hiroshima, Nagasaki and whatever happened during the past war time.

What is the point to fight with arms?
Can fighting make you really happy?

If you visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki, you will know what I mean.

My friend, however, told me when he left,

"Next time, let's meet up in Hiroshima."
