my own Utopia 私のユートピア（そこはかとなく書いてるブログ・・・）
I've been into reading. Now I'm reading several books. "Sorekara"by Soseki Natsume, "Utopia" by Thomas Moa, "the Great Expectation" by Charles Dickens, but I haven't finish reading to the end of all the books yet. 今、読書にハマってる。今は『それから』夏目漱石、『ユートピア』とマス・モア、『大いなる遺産』チャールズ・ディケンズとかをぱらぱらと読んでる。だから、全部まだ中途半端な状態で、最後まで読んでない。
But I'm interested in the concept of "Utopia" because the story is like what you would build your ideal country. でも、『ユートピア』のコンセプトが気に入っている。自分の理想の国を作る・・・。
If I created my own country, my nations would wear kimono, drink green tea.
As you can see, these things are Japanese culture. And Japanese traditions are very inconvenient in modern days. もし、私が理想の国を作るとしたら、国民は着物を着て、抹茶を飲む。
Kimono.... you cannot ride a bike in it, it is hard to do things in a toilet, it is awkward, it takes long time to put it on... anyway, it takes lots of time. but once you wear it, it heals you. 着物は、正直、不便。自転車に乗れない、トイレに行くときはとても面倒くさい。着るのに時間がかかる。ネガティブ要素がいっぱいに見えるけど、着てしまえば、すっごく落ち着くし、気分が引き締まる。
Green tea.... What I mention about green tea is including how to serve tea as well. It is like you have tea with your friends in a cafe in modern days. But for green tea, it is more meditation. Slowly, quiet, no background music, instead, you could hear only hissing from boiling water or pouring water into a cup... お茶会は「現代で言う喫茶店でお茶する」のコンセプトと近いかも。だけど、お茶会ではバックミュージックなどない。シーンとしている。だけど、これが心地よくて、ある意味、瞑想っぽい。茶釜のお湯が沸くシュ〜っと言う音と、柄杓でお茶を茶碗に注ぐあの何とも言えない心地よい音。
Our life here, it is influenced by westernised culture a lot. It is easier to take it into our life because we are too busy to take time for almost everything. Catching up with westernised things, we could survive in a modern societies. So so-called "globalisation" is "never take time". But it makes us super busy. We haste all the time, it must be stressful, isn't it?
私たちの今の生活は欧米文化にかなり影響されてて、されないと、現代社会で生きるのは難しいといっても過言ではないと思う。それは、欧米文化は上記のような「のろさ」がないから、忙しい現代社会にはピッタリなのである、と思う。だから、グローバル化してるんだって思ったり・・・。でも、同時にすごく忙しくさせている原因でもあるかも。ストレスが溜まる、忙しすぎて。
But in my own country Utopia, you can take time for everything.... you don't have to haste. What if the concept of globalisation would turned into like my own country?
で、私のユートピアは、何事も時間をかけることとする。急ぐ必要なんかない。このユートピアが世界を支配してしまう、グローバル化したらどうなるか？
It's interesting isn't it! 面白いじゃないか！
