short trip to Yokohama & Tokyo

Image
A film written & directed by John Willams made me short trip to Yokohama. The tittle is "Ichiban Utsukushii Natsu". I had no knowledge about the story till I watched it. The story, however, was about the girl in Nagoya, which I live in right now.  I have seen John's work "Sado Tempest" before, of which theme is different, but both of the films caught my heart.  In this time, "Ichiban Utsukushii Natsu", which reminds me of my chanoyu master. I wasn't like the main character Naomi in terms of public morals (I never smoked or drank), but I was struggling with what I really wanted to do when I was in a junior high. I think I might have been kind of loneliness. This may be shared with Naomi. In the film, Naomi is getting to share her loneliness and even secret with an old lady Ms. Koide. The scenery of country side is also beautiful but not only that, the human touched story is more beautiful. This poignant movie, I absolutley recomend you...

Hope 希望

Don't hurt any innocent hearts anymore.

Please tell me how to stop it.   Running with a speed just like a super express bullet train.     But it's been running without any signs for stop.       There must be a huge and gigantic monster deep inside.            Even though it's hard to do it, we must do it.              It, however, just wondering if the same way is really right ...                      What makes the monster so violent?                                                  Where is its root?                 Because, the more attacks, the more victims....                    Don't hurt any innocent hearts anymore.    ...

Leaving You. 風立ちぬ

Sometimes, you hurt her without consciousness. Now you wonder why this is happening to you. Having showed smiles on her face, actually, her body and soul had been hurt since long before.                She left you. Everything, however, comes from greediness and selfishness inside you. Your love was no more than greediness. In the moment, she left you. Her body and soul were collasped. Let go, (she says herself)    Otherwise nothing will begin. Welcoming winter soon, Not sure if she could cope with such coldness, One thing, it is sure that she will have a new encounter, Because,             She left you. 風立ちぬ♫ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZTVg_wfSbY

the Abolition Risk of Great Literature

Just imagine , What if you never learned literature, but you would learn only science or math instead? It would be very awful, because literature will tell you life.  Of course, science or math also teaches you life, but more techniques such as calculation or programming. On the other hand, literature, which will develop feelings, emotion, dedication or whatever about five senses.  Just imagine ,   What if you just study only math or science? Probably you will not keep well balance.  You might not care about anything even if you hurt somebody.                                              So, let's read good books!   Great Literature cannot be abolished from education.

Dionne Warwick - That's What Friends Are For

Image
Two years ago, I introduced this song to the students at that high school. I love this song, especially, the lyrics touch my heart, because the song is for friends. That's What Friends Are For Keep smiling, Keep shining, That's What Friends Are For For good times and bad times, I'll be on your side, That's what friends are for. I also like the music film, in which everyone looks happy with good smile. Keep smiling, Keep shining, That's What Friends Are For For good times and bad times, I'll be on your side, That's what friends are for. I hope they still keep their minds about singing this song with karaoke version together in the final class.

Discover Japan (even I am Japanese.)

Once a week, I join a Japanese class to support a foreign student at school.  Today's lesson was about Tsurezuregusa, which was an essay written by a Japanese monk named Kenko Yoshida long time ago. (吉田兼好) It means, when a man who learned how to do archery was facing the target, his master said to him, "For beginners, don't bring two allows but just one. You must focus on the single allow."  If you have two allows, probably you will not take it as seriously as you have only an allow. The master had already known it and warned his pupil. This, however, could be said to everything. The student, however, couldn't understand the concept which the pupil was not allowed to bring two allows to practice.  What he said was "Practice makes perfect. " So you cannot learn t...
